Palestinian Chief Judge hails HM king Mohammed VI's initiatives to preserve Al Quds identity

Al Khalil - Palestinian Chief Judge Sheikh Tayssir Tamimi hailed the initiatives undertaken by HM king Mohammed VI to preserve the Arab and Islamic identity of Al Quds and support the city's inhabitants.

At the opening of the Al Quds support Week, Sheikh Tamimi recalled the actions made by Bayt Mal Al Quds, upon the instructions of the Sovereign, in favour of Al Quds populations.

He called upon the Arab and Islamic Umma to pressure Israel's allies into halting Israeli offensives against Palestinian historical and civilizational sites and populations.

Ambassador Mohamed Hamzaoui, Morocco's bureau chief in Palestine, said that the city of Al Quds is considered by Moroccans as the beating heart of the Umma, stressing that additional efforts should be made to protect the sacred values of the city.

For his part, Bayt Mal Al Quds' representative said that the Agency earmarked in 2010 some 12 million dollars to carry out its programs and projects.
