Abu Dhabi, Feb. 20th, 2008 (WAM)--Moroccan Ambassador to UAE Abdelkader Zaoui and Director General of Beit Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency Director, Dr Abdelkabir Alaoui M'daghri, hailed while visiting the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation, the humanitarian role of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Zawi said that "the humanitarian role of the UAE under leadership of Sheikh Khalifa has occupied distinguished position through the exerted great humanitarian efforts to alleviate suffering of people by improving living conditions. The UAE has been one of pioneer countries that send relief to the needy countries worldwide".
He lauded the role of foundation under chairmanship of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, presidential affairs minister and board chairman of the Sheikh Khalifa foundation, indicating that "Any Arab and Muslim is proud of its projects".
On his part, M'daghri stressed at the meeting with Mohammed Hajji Al Khoori, executive director of the foundation, the support given by the UAE to Jerusalem to preserve its Islamic heritage. Meanwhile, Al Khoori reiterated that the foundation gives care to humanitarian situation in the Arab world, particularly Jerusalem in order to preserve the identity of the city and population.
