Dakar, Mar. 13 - King Mohammed VI on Thursday left the Moroccan central city of Fez for Dakar to partake in the 11th Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference that kicked off Thursday in the Senegalese capital.
The two-day conference is held under the banner "Islam in the 21st Century," with the participation of over 30 heads of State.
The Summit is seen by observers as a meeting that will mark a turning point in the Islamic Umma.
It is scheduled to examine the revision of the OIC Charter, the Palestinian issue, reinforcing Islamic solidarity, African countries' debts, economic partnership and sharing knowledge between member States.
Created in 1969, OIC groups 57 member countries and represents over 1.3 billion Muslims around the world.
