Rabat - Director General of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, Abdelkébir Alaoui M'daghri, presided over the inauguration ceremony of "Al Massira" middle school in Al Quds following its full restoration by the Agency for a sum of $265,000.
The ceremony was also an opportunity to assess the progress of the first phase of the "beautiful schools" program, for which 212,000 dollars are earmarked, the Agency said in a statement.
The program, launched by the agency a year ago, aims at upgrading and restoring Al Quds schools, in addition to improving the quality of learning, the source added.
On the same occasion, M'Daghri launched an operation to distribute schoolbags, worth $ 30,000, benefiting 2,250 students from needy families in the holy city.
M'Daghri has also supervised the launch of the second phase of the foodstuffs distribution operation during the holy month of Ramadan, which will benefit 1000 families in Al Quds.
