Rabat - Morocco's Foreign Minister, Taib Fassi Fihri, called, here on Thursday, for the establishment of an international alliance for the future of Al-Quds.
Speaking during the closing session of the Al-Quds International Forum, held on October 28-29 in Rabat, Fassi Fihri said that the broad attendance of officials at this event mirrors the willingness of all States to listen to the viewpoint of Al-Quds inhabitants.
What is going on in Al-Quds, he went on, requires committed, strong and coherent mobilization of the international community to reach a settlement for the Palestinian issue.
Fassi Fihri said that any act of colonization in the holy city remains illegal, underlining that the laws are very explicit in this respect.
He said that the Arab Peace Initiative has become an Islamic initiative for peace, calling, in this regard, for further efforts in favor of Al-Quds and the establishment of two States coexisting in peace.
We should lend a helping hand to the American administration so that it remains involved inside and outside the Quartet, and also when it comes to negotiating aspects related to setting up an independent Palestinian State, he added.
Under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, the Al-Quds International Forum was organized by Bait Mal Al-Quds Agency, in coordination with the Yasser Arafat Foundation.
In the Forum's final declaration, the participants urged the international community to pressure Israel into halting its illegal actions in the holy city of Al-Quds.
