Rabat - Participants in the International Forum of Al Quds, which ended Thursday in Rabat, urged the international community to put pressure on Isarel to stop its illegal actions in the holy city of Al Quds.
In a final declaration, adopted at the end of the forum's proceedings, the participants said that Al-Quds is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories and remains subject to the provisions of international law and the 4th Geneva Convention.
They also reiterated that the peace remains the only alternative to get the region out of tension and turmoil and guarantee coexistence between the peoples of the region in security and peace.
The participants also called for the revival of Palestinian institutions in Al-Quds, including Bayt al-Sharqi (Oriental House) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while stressing the need to initiate international meetings on Al-Quds to highlight its importance and its particular civilizational and universal human heritage, and promote collective awareness for the protection of that heritage.
Al-Quds International Forum, which kicked off Wednesday in Morocco's capital Rabat, examined the situation of Al-Quds from its political, legal and human aspects as well as its position as a model of coexistence between the three revealed religions.
Initiated by Bait Mal Al-Quds Agency in cooperation with the Yasser Arafat Foundation, the two-day Forum brought together a number of eminent figures and representatives of international media. It took place in light of the latest developments in the Palestinian cause, particularly Al-Quds.
