Morocco collects $354k for Al-Quds
 

Rabat, 25 Dec.2008 (MAP)- A fund-raising campaign launched in Morocco during the fasting month of Ramadan for Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Palestine, has helped collect some MAD 2.85mln ($354,000).

Morocco called on Israel to implement all the international resolutions calling for preserving the cachet of Al-Quds and being careful not to alter its legal status or undermine its Islamic and Christian shrines.

French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, said, on Monday 24 Nov. 2008, that he "shares concerns" of King Mohammed VI, chairman of Al-Quds Committee, with regard to Al-Quds Asharif (Jerusalem).

Kuwait grants $ 1 mln to Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency
 

Rabat, 20 Nov. 2008 (MAP) - Kuwait granted a donation of $ 1 mln to Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, offshoot of the Al Quds Committee which is chaired by king Mohammed VI of Morocco.
The grant was handed, Thursday, to the Director General of Bayt Mal Al Quds, Abdelkébir Alaoui M'daghri, by the ambassador of Kuwait in Rabat, Salah Mohamed Al-Baîjane.

Rabat, Oct.27 (MAP)- King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, on Sunday, called upon the international community to intercede to bring the Israeli Government to give up its construction schemes near Al Aqsa Mosque and "to renounce any measure which does not serve peace in the region of the Middle East."
